January 2, 2014 Clearly Revealed

Clearly Revealed

Read Revelation 10

Rev 10:6-7 “But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.”

“AH HA!” you’ve exclaimed. “Now I get it!” Some concept or process was a mystery to you. You heard many times, “This is how it’s done.” But you couldn’t quite figure it out. Now, suddenly, you know.
There will come that day when God will suddenly be completely clear to the world. Millions upon millions of people have heard the truth of God’s great salvation through Jesus Christ. Sadly, millions of souls have said, “I don’t get it.”
     That’s the meaning of
Revelation 10:9 "Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey." The scroll represents the Word of God. To John and all believers, the Word of God was indeed sweet with its truths of God’s grace and salvation promises.
But on that day when God is known to the entire world, the unbelievers will cower in the sour taste of judgment and fear. They will know it is too late to say, “What must I do to be saved?”
Our work is to tell people now of God’s sweet words. They can trust it is good and sweet to eat of the “bread of life” (John 6:35) to be filled of the mystery of God come to earth in human form.

A Moment’s Thought: consume God’s Word and tell it.
